I like the music, it's fun. FYI. I'm an obsessive calendarer. So much so that I actually offended my aunt when I sent her a calensar invite to get mani pedis in 2 weeks. First she didn't think k we needed appointments that far in advance and second she felt like I was treating her like a business meeting. She doesn't like to live her life as rigidly as I do. Of course, I don't think it's rigid, I think it's organized and prevents me from signing up for more than I can do, but that's the difference between me and most people. I now supervise 4 people and only one of them really gets or wants to get calendaring and it's importance. So many people I work with don't understand why I'm booked up without space in my calendar two weeks out or even more and why I won't push things around or meet during lunch or before or after my working time. Maybe they are OK with doing that, but I'm not and I find it rude when they push me to do it.

This is the problem for well scheduled and organized people, we live in a world of disorganized chaos and people with no boundaries and they get mad when we aren't as "spontaneous" or "flexible" as they are. Of course we wouldn't use those words, we would say "ill planned" or "unprepared." And, those are the same people who show up to the meeting they asked me to squeeze in without prepping for it so we waste time while they figure out what the meeting is about.... most irritating thing ever...

Anyway, all I'm saying is I hear you and I am totally in agreement on calendaring, and that most other people aren't which makes it very hard to function in this world.

ALL OF THIS resonated with me, Julie! And somehow it normalized it for me, too. So thank you!! <3
